Adoption at the White House

The news is all about the Obama Family adopting a new pet and bringing it with them to the White House. Well, at our White house we are looking at adoption as well. Don't Faint! We know that we have PLENTY of pets. We are actually beginning the process of adoption from the foster care system here in Colorado. We have been working with a great group called Project 127 (thank you Christy). They are a christian organization working with the State of Colorado in the hopes of getting all children out of the foster care system.

Steve and I have been through the classes and are now working on all of the paperwork. To date, we have been procrastinating but recently our thought process has changed. We (the whole family) have found a few kids available that are of interest to us. We are not looking for a baby, actually we are looking for an older child, or two, to come and join our active and chaotic family. We hope that this picture on our blog will someday have 5 or 6 individuals smiling through the camera at you.


Our friends, the Bobbs, who we met through Project 127, have been an inspiration to us. They have found two boys that they are working to bring into their home. They have a blog to keep everyone up to date and I liked it so I copied their idea. We are hoping that you will check our blog often- I promise to keep it updated as much as possible. We are also asking for your thoughts, prayers and support. We have a long process ahead of us with many ups and downs - hopefully more ups than downs. The only way we will make it through is with the love and support of our friends and family. We also hope that you will keep us on track by CONSTANTLY asking us how the process is going.
